Suitable for user dwell times of 2 hours +
It’s all dependent on the size of your car battery and the speed of the charger you are charging at. A 40kWh battery would take roughly 6 hours to charge to full on a 7kW charger. These types of chargers would typically be found in destinations with longer dwell times, such as your office. For those looking for a speedier top up, a 150kW rapid charger could get your 100kWh battery from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes.
Our 7 – 22kW chargers use Type 2 connectors and our 50 – 300kW chargers use CHAdeMO and CCS2 connectors.
It’s super simple to get started. We take care of the initial planning, right through to the installation and ongoing maintenance of your brand new chargers. All you have to do is contact us and one of our charging specialists will guide you through the entire process.
We make it as easy as possible to access our network. That is why we are available on all the top route planning maps such as ZapMap, Google Maps, Apple Maps, A Better Route Planner and more.
A broken charger is no good for anyone. That is why our chargers are monitored 24/7 and any faults can be fixed remotely within minutes. In the unlikely event that there is a hardware problem, our engineers will fix the charger within 72 hours.

While you charge, we require a pre-authorisation fee. A pre-authorisation fee is a temporary hold of funds on your debit or credit card to ensure there is enough money available to pay for the service. When paying through the EVC Plus app, the pre-authorisation fee is £20.00, via contactless payment this fee is £45.00 for our AC chargers and £55.00 for our DC chargers. When a charge is complete this cost will be refunded. This may take your bank between 1-7 days to complete. Every transaction fee will also include a connection fee of £1.00.
